The Refreshed Home

It's an upward climb trying to keep my home functioning let alone make it presentable. And it takes measures that borderline banishment to get the house looking its best. How does one achieve your ‘home sweet home’ without losing your mind or emotionally stunting your kids? Well, I come with a solution in tow. I still have my mind (I think) and our home is where my husband and kids want to be the most. Here's my foundation for all that I do:

When she refreshes others, she refreshes herself.

I love this proverb because it's not only true but it's a goal that anyone can master. No matter how great or how small your home skills are, you can refresh others. And who doesn't love the idea of feeling refreshed after a home project rather than feeling burnt out and discouraged.

My goal to have the HGTV dream home was unrealistic and kept me frustrated over my endless and neglected home project list. Even worse, I doubted the value of being a S.A.H.M. and I was loosing all confidence in my talent for home function and design.
So I changed my goal from making a picture perfect home to that of maintaining a Refreshed Home. While my to-do list is just as long as the next person, I am so encouraged that my home refreshes my husband, my children, my friends and myself.

I hope that my 'refresher projects' revive your faith in your abilities to make your home a Refreshed Home.

Refreshfully yours, Joy
